Mystery
WARRENBRI ROMEO – IS HSH needs no introduction. He has produced some outstanding progeny, including our sire WARRENBRI OMEGA – IS HSH. In 1990, seven of the 15 Warwick Gold Cup finalist were by Romeo, with Omega (Lindsay Knight) placing first, Bar None Omeo (Terry Hall) placing second, and Hazelwood Lucky (Chrissy Hall) placing third. He was also the sire of sale topping horses, including the then Australian ASH record on 2000 for WARRENBRI LARA – HSH selling for $36,000. The influence Romeo has had in the ASH Studbook is incredible considering he has only 580 registered progeny (as at Dec 2025).
KIRKBYS TONIC – IM HSH was a highly decorated led, hack, and working class mare at Royal Shows and ASH National Championships, including Champion Led Mare and Champion Ridden Australian Stock Horse at Melbourne Royal in 1988. Tonic was also an Open Campdraft mare, having won the 1990 Bowen Campdraft. She also has over 1,200 descendants registered in the ASH Studbook from eight progeny. Tonic was also a fabulous all-round mare and taught my son, Nick, to ride.
