Kirkbys Stud Echo, a horse with bloodlines from influential stallions Warrenbri Omega and Adios Reflect, has won numerous competitions. The horse’s sire, Adios Reflect, produced numerous successful offspring in campdrafting and polocrosse. The dam, Kirkbys Stud Orchy, also had a successful campdrafting career. Echo’s progeny, including Kirkbys Stud Elvis and Digger, have continued the tradition of winning in campdrafting and polocrosse.
Omega, a remarkable horse with 383 registered progeny, has produced exceptional performance and breeding horses. He claimed the Champion Ridden Horse title at the 1989 and 1990 Sydney Royal Show, and the 1990 Warwick Gold Cup. Phillip, who bought half share in Omega, had 124 foals registered by Omega at Kirkbys Stud. Omega’s progeny include significant winners of various championships.
Adios Reflect – IS HSH, a black stallion known for his substantial camp draft wins, that came from a family that included successful horses like Abdul – IS HSH and Barona Amy – FM HSH. Reflect was a renowned sire, with many successful progeny including Kirkbys Stud Echo – HSH, Adios Flo Jo – HSH, Wallabah Excel – HSH, and others, each with remarkable accomplishments in campdraft wins, and other performances.
KIRKBYS STUD REMEDY – HSH has been highly influential sire, with 363 progeny recorded and more than 11,500 descendants in the ASH Studbook (as at Sept 2013). Remedy had many wins at Royal level competition, and sired successful horses, his most notable being YALLATUP REGAL REMEDY – HSH who was used by Glen Gough to demonstrate the breed and entertain the crowds at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.
Kirkbys Cobalt – IS HSH (Abbey – FS HSH/Miss Radiant by Bignalls Radiant) was a foundation stock horse registered as number 79. Cobolt won the Australian Championship at Glen Innes in 1970 as a four-year-old. Cobalt had 196 registered progeny and can still be seen in the pedigrees of Kirkbys Stud horses today. His daughter, Kirkbys Abaleen – IM HSH, Kirkbys Bikini – IM HSH, Kirkbys Calcium – HSH, Kirkbys Clowdy – HSH, and Kirkbys Ruby – HSH, have produced progeny that have won some of the country’s most prestigious events.
Kirkbys Commando – HSH (Elliots Creek Cadet – FS HSH/Kirkbys Sapphire – IM HSH) was a foundation stallion for the stud and produced 49 foals. His daughter, Kirkbys Stud Colleen, and a colt, Kirkbys Stud Scout, were open campdrafters and have progeny in pedigrees seen today.
