KIRKBYS STUD COUNTERFEIT – HSH was broken-in at two years old and spent the next two years droving and contract mustering. He has a beautiful temperament and was happy being part of the horse plant during this time. He started drafting softly at 3yo, getting the gate at his first start. He broke his maiden status at 5 years of age and won his first open at 8 years. Between drought, Covid lockdowns, a young family, and work commitments, Counterfeit was lightly drafted but consistently made finals with scores up to 91. He has won numerous open campdrafts, challenges, and working horse classes. Counterfeit is breeding on with his progeny being good types with plenty of bone and rein, and are beautifully balanced natural cattle horses to ride.

Gleam is also the dam of KIRKBYS STUD GLITTER, who is an open campdraft mare and the winner of the 2018 ASHS Maiden Series. Gleam’s dam, DUL GLO – HSH, won numerous open campdrafts and was a full sister to COMARA ABLO – HSH, Warwick Ladies Silver Cup winner who also won many open campdrafts.
