I was surprised to receive two Australian Stock Horse Hall of Fame inductee certificates yesterday. It’s such a rewarding experience to grow up with horses that still impact the breed today. The mares are KIRKBYS MERCURY – HSH and STONEBROOK LIBERTY – HSH.

The latest addition to the stud is COOLUM OVATION – HSH, a super athletic, willing and game mare…jumping a 1-metre blackberry hedge in very wet weather on our second-ever hunt in the Adelaide Hills! She is also a seasoned Polocrosse mare, playing A-grade in southern Queensland.

CLEARCHOICE CONTIKI – HSH is one of the best walking mares I have ridden. Walking ability is such an important trait for station horses and one that should not be lost in the pursuit of awards and accolades, and for me, walking quickly highlights the ‘want’ that is needed across disciplines.
