What a fabulous result at the ASHS National Campdraft with all three mares placing.
COOLUM OVATION was Miss Consistency, especially as this is her fourth ever draft. Ovation had 7 runs for 5 gates and placed =6th in the TPM Saddles Maiden Series final, =5th in the second round of the Maiden, and 8th in the Affinity Equine Insurance Novice.
KASPERS VERSACE won the Marblewood Performance Horses Mare Campdraft Cutout and was 9th in the Shanahan’s Transport Open for Open.
CLEARCHOICE CONTIKI placed 4th in the Austrex Open after shouldering a tough heifer around the course.
Other Kirkbys Stud horses success
Not only did our mares perform well, other Kirkbys Stud prefix horses were in the winning circle.
KIRKBYS STUD GALAXY GIRL (a full sister to KIRKBYS STUD STARDUST) had a red hot crack at the TPM Saddles Maiden Series, placing 5th overall after a 2nd in the second round with Zac Croker. KIRKBYS STUD FLASHLIGHT and Zac placed =3rd in the first round of the Maiden and 10th in the Novice. KIRKBYS STUD SILVERAY and Darcy Croker placed 5th in the Woodwards Performance Horses Juvenile Campdraft.
Racheal Flanagan won the Law Conveyancing & Legal Services Ladies Cutout with KIRKBYS STUD ELVIS and placed 5th overall. Elvis also won the first round of the Kirkbys Stud Phillip Kirkby Memorial Stallion Draft with Bernie McMaugh after running a 91, and placed 7th overall.
KIRKBYS STUD CONTENDER placed 8th in the Kirkbys Stud Phillip Kirkby Memorial Stallion Draft and 4th in the Law Conveyancing and Legal Services Ladies Draft with Sue Kirkby.
