Being patient at the beginning of the foaling season is always difficult, eagerly anticipating filly foals. The 2024 foaling will see three mares foal, marking the continuation of Kirkbys Stud foundation bloodlines and the introduction of new, well-bred mares.
The first mare due is KIRKBYS STUD WHITE ROSE – HSH (by Chevin Ivory and out of Kiribys Stud Rosalie) is in foal to EAGLE HUSTLER – HSH (by Hazelwood Conman and out of KS Bonita). This foal carries a double cross of Omega, four crosses of Warrenbri Romeo, and nine foundation or impact ASH mares in the first four generations.
KIRKBYS STUD CATNAP – HSH (by Cattle Ray and out of Kiribys Stud Madonna) is in foal to One Stylish Pepto (by Peptos Stylish Oak and out of One Moore Spin). This eagerly awaited foal will be the first foal for the stud by One Stylish Pepto and will carry some very well-performed ASH and QH bloodlines, including Docs Spinifex, Peptoboonsmal, Docs Oak, Abbey, Rivoli Ray, Romeo, and Abdul in the first four generations.
The last mare due is COOLUM OVATION – HSH (by Westons Yakka and out of Coolum Omen) is in foal to KIRKBYS STUD COUNTERFEIT – HSH (by Hazelwood Conman and out of Kirkbys Stud Gleam) a willing and game mare that was introduced to the stud for her strong maternal line. The foal’s pedigree includes a double cross of Omega, four crosses of Warrenbri Romeo, Cadet, Abdul, and seven foundation or impact ASH mares in the first four generations.
I can’t wait for the 2024 foaling, and I’m already planning the 2025 foaling! Lets hope there not too many colts.
